Strong writing skills are critical to success in STEM courses and careers.
Writing for STEM, English 101 & 102
In a progressive attempt to meet the demanding needs of students majoring in science, technology, engineering, math, and the health professions, the Community College of Baltimore County is offering English 101 and 102 credited composition courses that focus content on STEM disciplines. These courses meet student requirements for English 101 and 102. The curriculum content, reading and writing assignments, and class lectures and discussions target the communication needs of STEM students without sacrificing the underlying rhetorical principles and strategies emphasized in traditional composition courses. These courses are designed to better prepare students for upper level STEM course work and specific job requirements.
